MAKEUP BRUSH SET

A FABULOUS BUY FOR PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP BRUSHES
Introductory sale $88.00 will go up to $125

After testing several varieties of brushes with various sizes, widths, synthetic and natural hair bristles, this set is the end result. The brushes are incredibly soft to the touch with long handles. I've washed them weekly for almost two years and they hold up beautifully.

These are the brushes you’ve seen in close-up shots as I applied makeup to faces on the popular ABC TV show Extreme Makeover. I have used my set on every makeup job for the last year. I hope you will get as much use and enjoyment out of these truly spectacular brushes as I have.

THE SET

Just follow along to see how you can use your brush set. There's a few new ones out that you'll receive as a bonus when you purchase your set.

Concealer/Foundation brush. This synthetic brush takes cream and liquid foundation well and applies perfectly for a flawless look. Stroke the brush into the foundation and apply to the face. Use the tip as a concealer applying to the dark areas under the eye and in the inside and outside corners of the eye. Hint: to spot on blemishes, swipe a little concealer and translucent powder onto the brush and apply to the blemish area. You’ll get better coverage. Follow with more powder, or possibly another layer of concealer. Finish off your makeup using powder applied with the Fan Brush.

Use the Angled Blush Brush to contour in the cheek hallow as well as the apples of the cheeks. Stroke the sides and tip of the brush in your favorite blush or contour and starting with the cheek contour, use back and forth movements from the hairline to about one inch from your nose (middle of he eye), as you move up the face to the cheekbone.

The Fan Brush is used to apply loose and pressed powder. Whisk away any eye shadow that falls to the under eye or cheek area.

The brow brush and lash comb. Comb through lashes after applying mascara to separate. Groom your brows with the brush. If you use brow gel, pencil, or powder brow color, brush through the brows to soften the effect

The large oval eye shadow brush fits perfectly on the lid. Use the tip for contouring in the crease line.

Use the mini oval smudge brush for softening eyeliner, or applying soft, thinner shadow around the eye. You can also apply a hi-lite shadow to the brow bone with this brush.

The Round Tip Shadow Brush fits perfectly in the crease of your eye to give depth with a darker shadow. Dip the tip of the brush into a matte darker shadow and apply to the crease working your way up towards the brow bone.

The flocked, sponge tip applicator will apply more opaque shadow onto the lid, brow bone, and close to the lash line for a stronger shadow effect. Also use to smudge pencil lines. Stroke the sides of the sponge tip into the shadow and press into the lash line or lid area.

The synthetic angled liner and brow brush. Wet the tip of the brush and press into a shadow. Then gently press a continuous connecting eye line close to the lash line both upper and lower. Use the shadow dry for the lower line for a softer look. With a dry brush, press the tip into brow color or a brown shadow, and fill in brows using a feathering motion.

Use the retractable lip brush and toss it in your purse to go. No brush cap, just pull down on the top to reveal the brush and pull back up to close.

Brush Set with Bronzer Brush:

As seen on ABC
Exteme Makeover

You may not see my face, but you do see my Italian makeup brushes on the faces of Extreme Makoever contestants!

An excellent professional makeup application begins with your tools and good quality brushes and sponges are one of the best investments you can make.

Makeup sponges come as wedges in pre-cut blocks of circles, squares or loose in the bag. They usually are made of latex and come pre-cut and disposable. Wedges, thin circle and square sponges (usually found in compacts) are used for applying foundation and those little eyeshadow sponge tips can pile on smudged shadow easily.

I feel most comfortable using the better quality bigger wedges that come pre-cut in square blocks and tear off for use, as well as the professional sponge tip applicator in the Brush Set rather than the ones that come with shadow compacts.

Caring for your brushes.

During a makeup shoot, to be sanitary, I quick clean the bristles with Sebastian “Dry Clean Only” spray on shampoo.
At the end of the week I use the following method for cleansing my brushes
Swish just the tops of your brushes (avoiding the wood handle) into a cup of gentle liquid dish cleanser or shampoo. You will see the soapy water turn color as the makeup is cleansed from the brushes. Rinse the brushes either in another cup of water or under the faucet. Using your fingers squeeze any excess water off the brush as you reform the brush bristles. Lay on a towel overnight to dry. If you take care of your brushes, they will last for years. When the brushes are dry, place back in the roll up carrier and tie
